Dear Wolfson students,
Pink Week is a student-led initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for Breast Cancer charities.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. Around 50,000 women and around 350 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year yet more people are surviving ever before. Through spreading awareness of this disease and encouraging early detection, organisations such as Pink Week bring us that much closer to ending breast cancer forever.
In the light of this charity event please join us today for some pink-themed treats, including beetroot risotto and raspberry sponge with pink custard in Hall. There will also be a special pink drink (“Pink Gin Fizz”) available in the bar today and tomorrow.
As this event also aims to raise some money for charity there will be donation boxes in the porter’s loge and the bar.
We thank you for joining us in our mission and look forward to celebrating Pink Week 2017 with you!
